Job Summary
The Siebel Sr. Configuration Developer position is responsible for delivery of the configuration components of the Siebel Application, which a core part of the Order to Cash (OTC) platform. This includes fit/gap analysis, estimation of work effort, providing expertise to the Joint Application Design Sessions, leading technical design discussions, designing and configuring the application. This position is also responsible for mentoring the junior staff, overseeing the junior configuration specialists during the build and unit testing phases, and to manage the threads of code, configuration and release management. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily.  Other minor duties may be assigned and may vary by department.
  • Performs application fit gap analysis of the requirements and estimates the Level of Effort (LOE) to design and build the configuration components of the Siebel application
  • Creates Proof of Concepts quickly to demonstrate technology feasibilities.
  • Captures and documents the detailed technical design for all the configuration components. Documents include technical approach documents, business rules and technical design documents
  • Provides Siebel expertise to the Joint Application design sessions.
  • Leads the Siebel Development Activities primarily around the configuration of the application.
  • Maintains the build/release notes and ensures the integrity of code releases by working closely with the release engineers
  • Works very closely with the functional analysts to provide Siebel expertise during functional design and functional testing phases.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This is a lead position with supervision of the day to day activities of the Siebel configuration specialists both onsite and off-shore.

Qualifications

Education and Experience
Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience and 5 years of Siebel Implementation experience including (2) full life cycle CRM projects.
Preferred:  Bachelor of Science; experience with Customer Service, Order Entry/Order Management, and Billing/Collections process; experience with enterprise CRM/ERP applications
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements
  • Current Siebel Certifications (8.0 or higher)
  • Knowledge of Business Process Mapping and Notations
  • PMI Certification is a plus
  • webMethods or SOA tools training a plus
Required Skills
  • Hands-on development experience with Siebel Call Center (Account & Order management, Asset, Billing & Payment)  and Siebel Order Management on multiple deployments
  • Advanced Siebel Tools configuration, including creating/modifying Business Components, Applets, Views, Links, Joins, Pick Lists, Pick Applets, MVGs (Shuttle Applets) and User Properties
  • Advanced scripting, including checking for required fields, setting field values, querying business components, invoking Business Service methods, and thorough knowledge of the Siebel Object Interfaces (specifically Business Services and PropertySets)
  • Ability to write Browser Script (JavaScript) to perform advanced validations and complex processing, including invoking Business Service methods
  • Advanced knowledge of Oracle and SQL and the ability to query base Siebel tables to view data (including joins of multiple tables)
  • Ability to perform advanced Siebel debugging and troubleshooting techniques, including the Siebel Tools debugger, SQL spooling, and event logging
  • Ability to create efficient Business Services that encapsulate business logic and process validations
  • Broad knowledge of Siebel Data Model
  • Databases/Utilities: Oracle 9i, Oracle 10g, SQL*Plus, SQL Loader, TOAD (or equivalent)
  • Languages: SQL & XML & eScript (required), HTML, JavaScript, PL/SQL
  • Desktop Tools: Microsoft Office including Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
  • Operating Systems: Windows 2000/NT, XP, Unix shell scripting

  • Proven record of lead small and medium technical teams
  • Ability to analyze and understand complex business processes to identify areas for improvement;
